Abstract :
Options for the design of a GSM/DECT dual-standard mobile terminal for broadcast news gathering are presented. Simulation results show that GSM HSCSD (high speed circuit switched data) could carry MPEG encoded audio and occasional pictures. Where service provision is available, DECT can return MPEG coded audio and supporting video clips
