Abstract
A control strategy proposed by the authors in order to reduce the effect of the chattering phenomenon in the control of uncertain dynamic systems is extended to the case of the incomplete availability of system state. The proposed procedure is described by considering the regulation problem (the extension to the tracking problem is straightforward) of uncertain second-order nonlinear systems
