  • Abstract
    We theoretically studied a photonic crystal with a honeycomb lattice of defects. When time-reversal symmetry is broken in the honeycomb lattice, there is one-way edge mode. We built a tight binding model to study the honeycomb defect lattice and gave a microscopic picture of the emergence of one-way edge mode. We proposed a scheme of dynamically modulated one-way slow light using this edge mode.
