Abstract :
The MoM/BI-RME method is an efficient numerical technique recently developed for the modeling of capacitive and inductive frequency selective surfaces. This method is based on the solution of an integral equation by the Method of Moments with entire-domain basis functions. Since it requires the truncation of the series of basis functions and of Floquet modes appearing in the kernel of the integral equation, the issue of the relative convergence can arise. This paper describes a systematic study of the convergence properties of the MoM/BI-RME method and provides an automatic convergence criterion, to be implemented in the numerical code based on this technique.
