Abstract :
This work is focus on the potentials of the tunable devices based on piezoelectric actuation. The mechanical movements of a piezoelectric actuator is used to change the capacitance values of an air-gap capacitor. When employing in shunt microstrip resonator, its resonant frequency tuned from 40.08 GHz to 41.25 GHz with loaded quality factor of 100. In this paper, the material depolarization, dielectric hysteresis and power consumption are addressed.
