Abstract :
With reduced power applied to backlights of an LCD system, overall brightness of displayed image is reduced. One obvious way to compensate for this is to increase the image pixel values. However, problems arise when improper adjustments are made. This paper proposes that a novel method of reducing LCD backlight power without image quality degradation.
