Abstract
A series of tests have been performed to study the effect of fog salinity on the aging of silicone rubber insulators in a fog chamber. One of the objectives of the test program was to perform pre-deposit contamination flashover tests on the insulators before and after aging, to determine the aging effect. Polymer insulator flashover performance before and after 12 months of ultraviolet exposure was also tested
