Abstract
A technique is introduced to generate an amplitude- and phase-modulated RF signal with high linearity and efficiency. The input baseband signals, which are possibly in the Cartesian domain, are mapped to the phase and duty ratio of a PWM signal. The PWM signal is generated at the RF carrier frequency with relatively high efficiency. The PWM signal is easily filtered to give the desired RF signal
