Abstract
Brass paradox reveals that the total cost of travel of the residents will increase rather than reduce and the level of service drop anomaly after the addition of new sections. In this paper, we analyze the reliability of road network in-depth based on Brass paradox. At first, we calculate the travel time reliability, unblocked reliability and invulnerability while increasing one section. Then, we compare it with the previous results not increasing the path. This indicates that the reliability would not be reduced, but increased. So the efficiency of its services will be greatly enhanced with the increasing of a section of the road. The calculated results have practical value.
