Abstract :
An operational amplifier based on an innovative approach capable to solve the problem of low voltage for rail-to-rail output stages is presented. It allows to correctly operate with voltage supply as low as 1.1 V. Its excellent performance outperforms state-of-the-art realisations and makes it suitable to be used for low voltage applications. In particular, the class AB output stage shows a quiescent current of 150 μA, while it guarantees a peak output current of ±2.5 mA in slewing conditions and a positive slew-rate of 25 V/μs with a load of 20 pF. The output voltage range reaches both rails within 50 mV
