Abstract
The sufficient condition for stability based on the small gain theorem is effectively used to provide simple robust tuning guidelines for a process under generalized predictive control. Spectral representation of the stability condition shows that adequate identification of the model and proper tuning of the controllers are required for robust performance of the system
