Abstract :
A CMOS current amplifier is presented which employs a novel class AB current output stage with high drive capability and reduced harmonic distortion. The amplifier has a DC gain and a gain-bandwidth product of 95 dB and 8 MHz, respectively. Moreover, it delivers an output current of 28 mAp-p with a -55-dB THD into a load resistance of 100 Ω. The amplifier was fabricated in a 1.2 μm process, uses a 5 V power supply and dissipates 15 mW of DC power
