  • Abstract
For the last 25 years the BBC´s vision contribution and distribution networks, and network radio distribution have been provided by a combination of BT analogue circuits of various types, supplemented by BBC analogue radio links. The authors discuss the stages involved in the BBC upgrading its network. Cost control strategies and pilot projects undertaken are outlined. The BBC tendered to 6 PTOs for a range of network sizes and circuit presentation options. The network chosen is described, along with testing and changeover considerations
