Abstract
The authors discuss implementation issues for software tools to experimentally validate nonlinear and hybrid control by fully exploring qualitative behavior. They discuss the effort of Guckenheimer and Back at Cornell under the DARPA DSSA program to extend the functionality of the dynamical system simulator DSTOOL for this purpose by implementing atlases of manifolds and event-driven moves from chart to chart
