Abstract
The quadratically decentralized stabilizability conditions for a general uncertain interconnected system are determined via a Riccati equation approach. J.C. Willems´ (1971) lemma is used to improve the stabilizability condition such that the local feedback control gain K i can be selected easily. The linear quadratic controller is synthesized by solving a modified Riccati-type equation. It is also shown that the quadratically decentralized stabilization problem for the general uncertain interconnected system can be broken down into N decoupled H ∞ control problems
