Abstract
The purpose of the comparative case study is to present two different approaches for modeling, analysis and control of physical systems: the multibody system approach and the bond graph methodology, respectively based on the use of the software SDS and 20-Sim. The dynamical behaviour of an automotive suspension is considered both in the linear and non-linear cases. The results, derived from a simplified model of the suspension, allowed one to compare these two approaches and the use of the associated software
