Abstract
Information-based system is growing rapidly, increasing the demand for natural language interfaces that are easy to implement and maintain. However, the problem of deep understanding natural language queries is far from being solved, especially in Chinese. Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) system is widely used in restricted domain as a good supplement to open-domain question answering systems. A practical FAQ system is presented in this paper to solve the problem above. In this paper, concept hierarchy is employed to build the concept model of the specific domain, and the taxonomy of question types used is discussed. The system has been applied to network education domain, and experimental results show that the system can be run practicably and is easy to maintain.
