Abstract :
A second superconducting wiggler magnet will be installed in the Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS) as a wavelength shifter, adding a 6-T radiation source to the present 5-T one. A warm bore design with a short central pole will minimize the tune shift and emittance blow up of the electron beam. It is noted that the relocation of a chromatically correcting sextupole magnet to provide space for the wiggler has potentially serious effects on the dynamic aperture; these effects are examined
