  • Abstract
One of the first causes which gets in the way of pipeline´s safety is leakage. Based on transient model, this paper researches on a new method to detect leakage, improves the difference scheme of traditional typical line method, and implements real time emulation from pipeline´s head to tail and from tail to head. Then it compares the result of two emulations, and determines whether or not there is leakage, and confirms the leak location. After completed the pipeline´s transient model with this method, we concluded that it saves time from startup to stabilization in the simulation process, advance the adaptability of simulation system and has rapid speed to solve the problems. Moreover, it is able to accurately alarm the leakage in time, whose location error is less than 1%. It fulfils the request of real time simulation and technical application, and we can see the potential foreground of it.
