  • Abstract
    Settlement calculation is an important work in design of foundation of building structure. In this paper, the reliability method is used to analyze the settlement of gravity foundation in coral sands. By calculating settlement using secant modulus method, performance function of settlement reliability analysis of foundation is established. JC method is used to calculate settlement reliability index. In order to improve convergence speed, Newton Iteration method is introduced. Influence of vertical force of foundation to reliability index is analyzed. The analysis of convergence of iterative calculation shows that the method proposed in this paper can calculate settlement reliability index conveniently and quickly.
