Abstract
For a wireless sensor network (WSN) with a limit number of sensors, a decision rule based on the weight of sensors is proposed and studied. On assumption that the received signal decrease as distance form the target increase and the probability of detection of local sensors varies which induces the weight of each local sensor varies, the system level detection and false alarm are derived and calculated. With small number of sensors and low signal to noise ratio (SNR), the system performance is good. Moreover, the threshold of local sensor and system are studied.
