Abstract
The authors consider a system described by the one-dimensional linear wave equation in a bounded domain with appropriate boundary conditions. They assume that the system is subjected to external disturbance. To stabilize the undisturbed system, a dynamic boundary control method applied at the free end of the system is proposed, and it is shown that the system with the proposed control law is exponentially stable. Then, the disturbance rejection problem is studied by boundary control techniques
