Abstract
Based on a novel analysis for dynamic optical feedback resistance in single mode LDs, the mechanism of superior external optical feedback resistant characteristics in PC-LDs was clarified. Theoretical and experimental results demonstrated that PC-LDs are applicable to isolator-free LD modules with high yield for high capacity optical access network systems.
