Abstract :
Investigating customer´s activity patterns is of primary importance for accurate predication and intuitive modelling of the call arrival rates to a queueing system. The present study analyzes a customer´s activity pattern based on the mobile phone dataset and gives the empirical results of inter-call time distribution that follows exponential form, under traditional assumption, which could sustain the most wide used Queueing models that assume call arrivals to a queueing system follow a Poisson process.
