Abstract :
The authors present a state-space solution to the discrete H 2 control problem and give direct formulas for an H 2-optimal sampled-data control problem with state feedback and disturbance feedforward using the powerful lifting technique. The discrete-time H2-optimal control is first treated via state feedback and disturbance feedforward and then via dynamic output feedback. New direct formulas for a sampled-data H2 problem using state measurement are presented. The optimal sampled-data control is applied to a two-motor system and a comparison is made with the optimal analog control
