Abstract :
Slotline structures as used in uniplanar MMICs (monolithic microwave integrated circuits) are analyzed, including a full-wave description of conductor loss. It is found that such lines support a fundamental wave mode that differs basically from the conventional slotline type. Results on propagation characteristics are presented, taking into account the influence of metallization thickness. The differences between the propagation behavior of the MMIC slotline and that of conventional slotlines are clarified.<>
