Abstract
In this paper, a low profile UHF RFID tag for wristbands in healthcare applications is proposed. A high dielectric constant substrate is used to achieve small size. The proposed loop geometry allows a similar behavior in three scenarios: over a bottle full of water, over a metal and over human tissue. Although the expected read range is reduced it should be more than enough for some patient tracking applications.
