Abstract :
Summary form only given as follows. A survey has been conducted by the Engineering Faculty of the Marmara University, with the participation of 29 local top managers aimed at questioning current education methods and curriculum within the frame of recent technological developments. Using a questionnaire, participants were asked to evaluate 75 requirements and 45 factors related with engineering education. To assess how much current education matches the evaluation of these managers, the same questionnaire was distributed among staff of leading local universities providing engineering education. The paper presents the data and the conclusions that the authors were able to draw from both surveys using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) techniques
