Abstract
This paper discusses how protocol header compression schemes can be implemented in the Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) as part of the GSM recommendations. We briefly describe details of the two compression algorithms currently selected for implementation by the recommendations committee, followed by an explanation of how these schemes can be implemented in the SGSN
