Abstract
This work aims to improve the performance of nonnormative error concealment of H.264/AVC. The recovered visual quality can be raised by embedding a set of coefficients which are linearly estimated at encoder site. The facilitated coefficients are vector-quantized and embedded into the neighbor residual MBs by quantization watermarking. The simulation result has shown the proposed work raises the recovered quality more than 1 dB in average. Besides, the decoder can extract the facilitated information with very low complexity, which makes the proposed work be more practical.
