Abstract :
Image enhancement correction is one of the key issues in high quality pictures such as digital camera and HDTV. In this paper, we introduce Retinex model for picture contrast enhancement, and improve its color reproduction and computation time. The images obtained by Retinex method shows much higher quality than the images of conventional methods such as gamma correction or histogram equalization(HE).
