Title :
Understand ground fault detection and isolation in DC systems
Author :
Marrero, Jose A.
Abstract :
The identification and location low-level DC ground fault current has historically been difficult and caused multiple systems power interruptions. With this use of new technology, this process has been simplified in some ways, but a greater understanding of the complexities of your DC system is needed by the users of the newer generation ground fault detection equipment (GFDE). The author argues that the interaction of GFDE and DC power systems must be understood along with their respective limitations. The limitations of the detection method must also be understood
