Abstract :
A novel solution for two dimension irregular parts nesting which combines with particle swarm optimization (PSO) was presented. Firstly, the proposed method covert the problem of irregular parts nesting into rectangular parts nesting problem by calculating the surrounding boxes of irregular parts and combining and filling congeneric parts. Secondly, presenting swapping sequence and variation of angle as velocity of particles to reconstruct PSO for the optimal solution of layout, then using dynamic remaining rectangle matching for decoding the permutation of nesting pattern and orthogonal accessing algorithm to realize automatic nesting. Its effectiveness has been fairly proved in practice.
