Abstract
The paper concerns driving point functions with noninterlaced zeros and poles located on the negative real axis. An RLC network can be designed for realization of this type of impedance called unorthodox impedances. The positive realness of these impedances are studied. The determination of residue signs by visual inspection of pole and zero locations is presented. Realizations of double poles alternating with double zeros and triple poles alternating with triple zeros are given
