Abstract :
Down-sampling techniques for current frames are proposed in this paper for block matching motion estimation. Our techniques can reduce computation complexity significantly with almost negligible degradation of PSNR values. Moreover, the hardware cost required to implement the proposed techniques is greatly less than the conventional methods.
