Abstract :
The West-East Natural Gas Pipeline Project traverses from the west, on through the various types of Eco-fragile regions (belts) in Xinjiang, Gansu, and Ningxia in Northwest China, to the east, along the pipeline with the complicated and variable geomorphology in China. The natural gas pipeline project construction is liable to cause water and soil erosion and intensify the desertification by human beings themselves. Also, the already fragile Eco-environs along the pipeline will be further worsened so that the safety of regional ecosystem will be affected so as to further threaten the safety of the natural gas pipeline. Accordingly, taking the West-East Natural Gas Pipeline Project in Ningxia Section for Example, this paper analyzes Eco-environments in the natural gas pipeline construction regions, studies the Eco-recovery measures of combination of water and soil conservation engineering interfered by human behaviors with bio-vegetation recovery, and carries out Eco-restoration and reconstruction in the construction interference regions, which being very necessity in guaranteeing the safety of both natural gas pipeline and regional Eco-environs.
