Abstract :
Panoramic video is efficient for user-driven interactive video application, so as the user can change his/her view angle. To achieve such interactivity, the efficient video coding method which supports high compression efficiency as well as key feature, such as spatially partial area decoding and smooth change of its position is proposed. In the proposed method, MVC video coding standard is used for compression, and the efficient control method of decoding and rendering of panoramic video is exploited.
