Abstract
We present a distributed proactive semantic software engineering environment (DPSSEE) that incorporates logic rules into software development process to capture the semantics from all levels of the software life cycle. It introduces the syntax and semantics of the rule description language (RDL) employed by DPSSEE and two working scenarios that illustrate the use of proactive rules for workflow control and design consistency checking.
