This paper addresses the impacts on human resource development in the re-engineered telecommunications industry, especially the Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOC) and how the Bellcore Training and Educational organization and other technical training organizations are meeting the needs of this new environment Telecommunications corporations like US WEST, have re-engineered their processes to where fewer employees are doing more functions with many employees located in “mega-centers”. The new method of operation creates new demands for training and delivery options
