Abstract :
The paper presents a control system for an ultrasonic welding device, based on a power inverter, working in commutation, at high frequency, with a frequency control system and an automatic equipment for command. The inverter fed an ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer to activate an ultrasonic welding tool. The frequency control system is based on a feedback after the estimated movement current through the power ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer. This control system assures a higher efficiency of the energy conversion and greater frequency stability.
