Abstract :
The application of capacitive coupler and screen interruption techniques to partial discharge (PD) detection in power cable systems has been investigated. Both techniques work in the very high frequency range up to approximately 300 MHz. For both methods, signal calibration, detection sensitivity and PD site location through time of flight analysis have been assessed experimentally
