Abstract
This work relates to the study of three-dimensional objects covered with a formed grid of deformable unidimensional elements and valence 3. The advantages of this new type of grid are: the compression of 3D information for their transmission, the synthesis of 3D objects for their recognition, as well as a tool adapted to the problems of measurement of deformation. The Wavelet transformation allowed the study of this new grid for the analysis and the synthesis of 3D images at various levels of resolution. We present the different algorithms of subdivision and compression applied on this type of surface. All these algorithms could be parallelized due to the system of numbering of this type of meshes
