Abstract :
A novel adaptive order-determination criterion based on an unwindowed least-squared lattice filter is presented. The new criterion and the lattice filter yield fast identification of both the order and the parameters of the plant model. Simulation results have been obtained for identification and control of a flexible structure consisting of a flexible Euler-Bernoulli beam clamped on a rotating rigid hub
