Abstract :
With good control on current distribution, a frequency divider by separating branch based on conventional Current Mode Logic (CML) has been proposed, presenting an improved performance in high-speed and wideband without increase in power dissipation. Simulation in the TSMC 0.18um 1p6m RF technology shows that it has a frequency range of 12.3GHz, whose maximum operation frequency can reach up to 21.6GHz, drawing only 4mA static current from 1.8V supply voltage, with 20.4-dB FoMPdc.
