Abstract :
In this work, a miniature switched beamformer module at 2.4 GHz is proposed using the glass-based integrated passive device (IPD) technology. With the proposed bridged-T coil based designs, the circuit size of both the 4×4 Butler matrix and the single-pole four-throw RF switch can be largely reduced. They are then integrated into a compact IPD chip size of only 4.7 mm×4.7 mm to achieve a miniature switched beamforming network for 2.4-GHz 4×1 antenna array application.
