Process variation is a major problem affecting product quality. Therefore, eliminating variation means continuous quality improvement. In this paper, three methods of continuous quality improvement are discussed firstly, namely statistical process control (SPC), engineering process control (EPC) and Taguchi Method. Then, they are compared and evaluated. Finally, a conceptual framework for integrating them to monitor and improve process quality is developed.
