Abstract
The realization of a dual dihedral corner-reflector antenna (CRA) on a single ground plane by using low cost plasma lamps as reflective elements is presented in this paper. The commercially available compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) are arranged in dihedral coordination to transform classical omnidirectional beam shape into several forward beams. The novel prototype is realized and its performances are compared with simulations. The energized CFLs work as conductors with low conductivity offer good gain values with the maximum is more than 10.5dBi at 2.4 GHz. The beams are changeable electronically within seconds from one to another.
