Abstract :
In recent years, the Intrinsic Cross-Polarization Ratio has become a common figure of merit to assess cross polarization in radio polarimeters. In this paper the authors present a description of different ways to simulate this parameter using commercial EM software packages as well as near field measurements to validate these simulations. This work lays within the framework of low frequency radio astronomy and in particular within the SKA telescope.
