Critical Chain Project Management method provides an excellent idea to address the project schedule management, it achieves planning and control to a project schedule by identifying a critical chain and inserting buffers. However, buffers may so often influence the identified initial critical chain that duplication of work is carried out. In this paper, on the basis of reviewing related literatures, the author puts forward the principle of inserting Project Buffers separately by analyzing an example. It can solve the problem that a critical chain may need be adjusted several times when Feeding Buffers are inserted or a certain task duration changes, and then its application conditions and advantages are discussed. At last a conclusion is given and a further improvement direction of the principle is pointed out.
