Abstract
Government-sponsored manufacturing extension services, modeled after cooperative extension, have been established to provide technical and business assistance to small to medium sized manufacturers (SME). Assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of SME has become a necessary diagnostic procedure for manufacturing extension services. One such assessment procedure, QuickView, has clearly demonstrated superior results as a preliminary diagnostic tool
